Darrelle Revis
- According to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, “rumblings” within the Jets are that CB Darrelle Revis didn’t actually throw a punch in the recent incident that took place in Pittsburgh last week in which two men were knocked out.
- Mehta says that Revis told Jets’ officials that one or more of friends actually punched the two men.
- A video surfaced of a man saying “I knocked both of these motherf—s out.” However, Revis’ new attorney, Robert DelGreco, Jr., released a statement denying that this is Revis’ voice: “Darrelle Revis absolutely, categorically and positively did not knock out anyone, did not conspire with anyone to commit an assault, did not say ‘shut up before I knock your [EXPLETIVE]out next’ and surely did not ‘rob’ another of a cell phone. The voice and admissions made on the video are not that of Darrelle Revis. We have no doubt but that further investigation relative to the clothing and voice verification will corroborate the above assertions.”
Johnathan Cyprien
Free agent S Johnathan Cyprien mentioned during an interview with Sirius XM NFL Radio that he’s “kind of nervous” about what’s going to happen this offseason.
“Right now my feelings are – I’m kind of excited and also kind of nervous – but for the most part I’m trying not to think about it,” Cyprien said, via First Coast News. “I’m just living my life and letting the business come.”
When asked about taking a discount to be back with the Jaguars next year, Cyprien said he would have to think it over with agent and family. Although, he did say he would like to remain in Jacksonville.
“That’s something I definitely have to pray on, speak to my agent about and speak to my family about,” Cyprien said. “It’s just something that you have to do. I would definitely have to think about that, of course. I know I want to be in Jacksonville, it would be a lot easier on my family [and] myself. At the same time, me, myself and my family have to make a decision that’s best for me and my future.”
