NFL Notes: Free Agent WRs, Browns, Colts, Dolphins, & Jets

Free Agent WRs

Jason Fitzgerald of OverTheCap.com takes a look at this year’s class of free agent receivers and offers projections for the top receivers including:

Browns

Dolphins

Dolphins interim HC Dan Campbell said thatย rookie RB Jay Ajayi (ribs) may not be activated from the short-termย injured reserveย listย this week.

We have basically another week or over until we have to absolutely make a decision,” Campbell said, viaย Palm Beach Post. “But at this point we can if we would like to activate him this week. He will be eligible to do that. We donโ€™t want to do it right now until we know for sure.

Colts

Colts QB Andrew Luck said the team’s decision to fire OCย Pep Hamilton felt like a “gut punch.”

Lot of emotions, none of them good,” Luck said, via Indianapolis Star. “If youโ€™re playing well as an offense, (this) probably doesnโ€™t happen. If youโ€™re winning games, it probably doesnโ€™t happen.

Jets

Jets CB Antonio Cromartie insisted that he isn’t finished as an NFL cornerback, despite his struggles this season.

“It’s not a point of saying: ‘Oh, do I still have it?’” Cromartie said, via theย  Newark Star-Ledger. “I know that. It’s just a point of going out and doing it every single week. You have to go into every single week being consistent, and I think that’s the biggest thing for me.
