NFL Notes: Packers, Redskins, Seahawks & Texans

Packers

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media mentions that “it’s very easy” for him to imagine the Packers bringing back HC Mike McCarthy back for another season and they want to have him coach Aaron Rodgers for the remainder of his career.

Rapoport believes McCarthy would be “hired in two seconds” if he was a free agent head coach and while they have some personnel issues, he doesn’t think McCarthy is viewed as their problem right now.

Redskins

Redskins HC Jay Gruden said during an appearance on ESPN 980 that TE Jordan Reed suffered a Grade 3 AC joint sprain of and will undergo an MRI to determine the extent of the damage in the coming days.

โ€œThere is something there we have to deal with,โ€ Gruden said, via Liz Clark of the Washington Post.
