Jason La Canfora reports that the packers are tendering a contract to restricted free agent WR Geronimo Allison.
According to Michael Cohen, the Packers used a low-round tender on Allision, which means Green Bay would not receive any compensation for him if he signed with another team and they declined to match the deal.
Allison, 25, wound up signing on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Illinois back in May of last year. He was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason but was later signed to their practice squad and eventually promoted to their active roster after Green Bay sustained some injuries at receiver.
Allison is set to be an unrestricted free agent in 2020.
In 2018, Allison appeared in five games for the Packers and caught 20 passes for 303 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
