The Panthers announced Wednesday they have signed TE Seth DeValve to the practice squad, per Myles Simmons.
This is DeValve’s second stint with the team after being released back in June with a non-football injury designation.
Carolina’s practice squad now includes:
- RB Reggie Bonnafon (Injured)
- DT Bruce Hector
- G Mike Horton
- WR Ishmael Hyman
- DB Natrell Jamerson
- WR Marken Michel
- LB Chris Orr
- TE Giovanni Ricci
- OL Matt Kaskey
- LB Clay Johnston
- G Aaron Monteiro
- RB Pete Guerriero
- RB Rodney Smith
- DT Mike Panasiuk
- DE Greg Roberts
- WR Shelton Gibson
- TE Seth DeValve
DeValve, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Browns back in 2016. He spent over three years in Cleveland before he was waived and later claimed off of waivers by the Jaguars.
DeValve played out the final year of his four-year, $2.72 million contract and was testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent this offseason before agreeing to a one-year, $1 million contract with the Panthers this past March. He was released with a non-football injury designation in June, however.
In 2019, DeValve appeared in 12 games and caught 12 passes for 140 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
