The New England Patriots are placing a second-round tender on RFA DT Adam Butler, according to Mike Reiss.
A second-round tender is projected to cost around $3.27 million for the 2020 season and ensures that they would get a second-round pick should they decline to match an offer sheet from another team.
Butler, 25, wound up going undrafted out of Vanderbilt back in 2017. He later signed a three-year rookie contract with the Patriots.
In 2019, Butler appeared in all 16 games for the Patriots and recorded 26 tackles, six sacks and five pass defenses.
