Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Patriots have promoted LB Trevor Reilly to their active roster and signed NT Mike Purcell to the practice squad.
The Patriots’ practice squad now consists of:
- OL James Ferentz
- DL Geno Grissom
- WR Cody Hollister
- DB David Jones
- DB Damarius Travis
- DE Angelo Blackson
- CBย Ryan Lewis
- DB Jomal Wiltz
- TE Will Tye
- DTย Mike Purcell
Reilly, 29, is a former seventh-round pick of the Jets back in 2014. He spent just over two years in New York before he was waived with an injury designation coming out of the preseason last year and cut loose a few days later.
The Patriots elected to sign Reilly to their practice squad last October but the Dolphins later signed him to their active roster.
Reilly was on and off of the Dolphins’ practice squad this season before signing on to the Patriots’ taxi squad a few weeks ago.
In 2016, Reilly appeared in two games for the Dolphins and recorded two tackles.
