The New England Patriots made the decision to release former Colts RB Joseph Addai after a very brief tenure with the team.
BenJarvus Green-Ellis‘ departure during the offseason led to the signing in the first place, but recent reports mentioned that Addai was very underwhelming in his limited time with the team, so it’s not surprising to see them move forward with Stevan Ridley, Shane Vereen, and Danny Woodhead as their running backs.
The Eagles did show interest in Addai a few months ago, but have since added a few options to their backfield, so it would be surprising to see them revisit the idea.
