Field Yates is reporting that the Patriots and WR Matthew Slater have agreed to a two-year extension.
According to Yates, this contract is similar to his last deal that averaged $2.6 million per year.
Slater, 34, is a former fifth-round pick of the Patriots back in 2008. He’s played all 10 seasons of his NFL career with the Patriots and is a seven-time Pro Bowl selection.
Slater signed a two-year contract with New England in 2018, which included a team option for the 2019 season.
In 2019, Slater played in all 16 games for New England, contributing heavily as the Patriots gunner on special teams.
