The New England Patriots officially waived WR Darren Andrews on Monday.
Andrews, 23, wound up signing on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of UCLA back in May of last year. He agreed to a three-year, $1.71 million contract but was waived a few days later with an injury designation after suffering a torn ACL.
After clearing waivers, Andrews reverted to the team’s non-football injury list.
During his four-year college career, Andrews caught 162 passes for 1,977 yards receiving and 15 touchdowns over the course of 46 games.
