According to Michael Gehlken, the Raiders are also expected to have interest in Dolphins RT Ja’Wuan James this week, as they look to get their tackle situation fixed.
This comes after reports that the Raiders are a team to watch for Patriots LT Trent Brown.
James, 26, was taken with the No. 19 overall pick by the Dolphins back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $8.4 million contract and made a base salary of $1,569,327 for the 2017 season.
The Dolphins elected to pick up James’ fifth-year option for the 2018 season and he’s now in position to be an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his NFL career.
In 2018, James appeared in 15 games for the Dolphins and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 34 offensive tackle out of 80 qualifying players.
We have him featured in our Top 100 – 2019 NFL Free Agents list.
