Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the Rams are hosting free agent OLB Akeem Ayers for a visit on Thursday.
- Nick Wagoner mentions that Ayers was a name to keep an eye on for the Rams.
Ayers, is an intriguing free agent given that he really came on for New England after they traded a 2015 sixth round pick to the Titans in return for him.
Tennessee used a second round pick on him back in 2011, but he wasn’t able to live up to his draft status with them, which led to him being inactive a few times this past season.
In 2014, Ayers appeared in 11 games last year and recorded 23 tackles, four sacks, an interception and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 30 outside linebacker in a 3-4 defense out of 46 qualifying players.
