The St. Louis Rams plan to place S T.J. McDonald and DE Robert Quinn on season-ending injured reserve “in the next day or so,” according to Nick Wagoner.
- Jim Thomasย reports that Quinn will undergo neck surgery at some point in the near future.
Quinn, 25, is in the second year of his four-year, $66.575 million extensionย that includedย $41.268 million guaranteed. He’ll make a base salary ofย $5.555 millionย this seaosn and anotherย $7.777 million in 2016.
His 2015 season comes to an end with him appearing inย eight games and recording 21 tackles, five sacks, three forced fumbles and three pass defenses for the Rams.
McDonald, 24,ย is in the third year of his four-year, $2.926 million rookie contractย thatย included a $648,000 signing bonus. He’ll make a base salaries ofย $624,426ย andย $730,037 over the remainder of the contract.
This season, McDonald has appeared in 11 games and recorded 63 tackles, one sack, a forced fumble, a recovery and a pass defense for St. Louis.
