The Ravens have signed TE Xavier Grimble to the practice squad, per Jeff Zrebiec.
Baltimore had an open spot after placing LB Kristian Welch on the practice squad injured list.
Baltimore’s full practice squad now includes:

- DT Aaron Crawford
- DB Khalil Dorsey
- G Will Holden
- QB Tyler Huntley

- DE Chauncey Rivers
- DB Nigel Warrior
- LB Kristian Welch (injured)
- RB Ty’Son Williams
- TE Eli Wolf
- TE Xavier Grimble
Grimble, 27, originally signed on with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of USC back in 2014. He lasted just a few months with the Giants before eventually signing on to the 49ers’ practice squad.
Grimble had a brief stint with the Patriots before returning to the 49ers on a future/reserve contract in 2015. The Steelers later added him to their taxi squad and re-signed him to a restricted offer worth $2.025 million last April.
The Steelers placed Grimble on injured reserve and later released him with a settlement. He signed a futures deal with the Colts for the 2020 season before being cut. After a short stint on the practice squad, he was released again.
In 2019, Grimble appeared in three games for the Steelers and caught one pass for three yards.
