Adam Jude of the Seattle Times reports that the Seahawks are signingย WR Kevin Smith to a contract.
Smith signed with the Cardinals an undrafted free agent out of Washington following this year’s NFL Draft. However, he lasted just a matter of weeks before the team placed him on waivers.
The Jaguars claimed him, but they too waived him after just a few weeks.
Back in 2011,ย Smith suffered aย torn ACL that impacted his play upon returning, but he would later get back to being consistent player for the Huskies.
Last year, he totaledย 785 yards receiving and averagedย a team-high 15.3 yards per reception.
The odds areย against him securing a roster spot with the Seahawks given that they have one of the league’s deepest rosters, but there is always a chance he could impress the coaching staff.
