Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that the Steelers running backs coachย Kirby Wilson is leaving Pittsburgh and is expected to join Mike Zimmer’s new coaching staff in Minnesota.
The Ravens interviewed Wilson for the offensive coordinator vacancy, butย Jason La Canforaย recently mentioned thatย “many people” believe the Ravens were actually looking at Wilson to coach running backs instead of being their new offensive coordinator.
- La Canforaย adds that Wilsonย “doesn’t have a future with the Steelers with that situation turning sour.“
Wilsonย joined Mike Tomlin’s staff in 2007 when he first took over the Steelers head coach. He’s spent time with theย Buccaneers,ย Patriots, and Redskins’ coaching staffs.
Zimmer is putting together a very respected coaching staff in Minnesota, so they figure to be one of the more interesting teams to watch in 2014.
