Free agent DL Greg Scruggs announced via his Instagram account Thursday night that he has re-signed with the Seahawks. Sounds like it’s another one-year contract for Scruggs and the Seahawks.
“Teams rarely take chances, let alone take chances after a double knee injury. Thankful to the for the opportunity to sign on another year and be the best I can be to help the team win. #GoHawks”
Scruggs, 25, is a former seventh-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2012. He made the team’s 53-man roster as a rookie, but unfortunately suffered an ACL tear in offseason workouts the following year that forced him miss the entire 2013 season.
In 2014, he appeared in three games and two tackles for the Seahawks. Pro Football Focus has him down for playing a total of 68 snaps in 2014.
