The Jacksonville Jaguars announced that they have reached a one-year deal with former Titans DT Sen’Derrick Marks.
Marks met with the Jaguars on Monday, so they obviously moved quickly to get a deal done. Jacksonville added DT Roy Miller a few weeks ago, so they’re clearly focused on improving their defensive line next. Unlike Miller, Marks offers more in terms of interior pass rush, but his overall game was a bit disappointing for the Titans last season. Pro Football Focus rated him as one of the worst qualifying defensive tackles in the league last year. We’ll have to see if the Jaguars are able to get him to improve his overall game this season.
We had him listed as the No. 37 player in our recently updated Top 50 Free Agents list.

Jim Wyatt of the Nashville Tennessean reports that free agent DT Sen’Derrick Marks is unlikely to re-sign with the Titans.
Wyatt points to the fact that Tennessee has already signed defensive tackle Sammie Hill as the main reason for their lack of interest in Marks.
“We’re entertaining offers from other teams, long and short term,” said Marks’ agent Hadley Engelhard. “…During our last conversation with Tennessee, they did not have any interest in doing a short-term deal with Sen’Derrick. Right now they say they’re not in a position to offer a short term deal for Sen’Derrick.”
