The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Wednesday that they’ve designated DL Chris Wormley to return from injured reserve.
This opens a three-week window of time for the Steelers to activate him from injured reserve and add him to their 53-man roster.
Wormley, 26, was selected by the Ravens in the third round out of Michigan in 2017. He’s in the final year of his four-year, $3,298,644 rookie contract.
The Steelers acquired Wormley and a 2021 seventh-round pick back in March in exchange for a fifth-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
In 2020, Wormley has appeared in six games and recorded three total tackles and no sacks.
