The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Wednesday that they’ve re-signed RFA OT Zach Banner to a one-year deal.
“I am super excited, ready to play back in the black and gold,” said Banner. “I am ecstatic I don’t have to move again. I get to call this home. It’s starting to feel a lot more like home, than home, if that makes sense. My family is on the West Coast and I miss them a lot, but it’s growing on me.”
Banner, 26, is a former fourth-round pick by the Colts in the 2017 NFL Draft. Indianapolis cut him loose at the start of his rookie season and was claimed by the Browns.
Cleveland waived him in March of 2018 and was claimed by the Panthers, but cut during spring camp. He signed with the Steelers in August of 2018 and finished out his rookie contract last season.
In 2019, Banner appeared in 14 games for the Steelers and started once.
