The Houston Texans officially waived LB Xavier Woodson from injured reserve on Monday.
Woodson, 24, signed on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Arkansas State back in May of 2017. Oakland re-signed him after making him one of their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason, but cut him once again shortly after.
The Bills signed Woodson to their practice squad in December of last year and re-signed to a futures deal. Unfortunately, he was also among Buffalo’s final roster cuts.
After multiple stints on the Browns’ practice squad, Woodson signed with the Texans this past May before ending up on injured reserve at the start of the season.
In 2018, Woodson appeared in four games for the Browns and recorded one tackle.
