The Tennessee Titans announced Thursday that they placed RBย Dexter McCluster season-ending injured reserve and promotedย WR Rico Richardson to their active roster ahead of tonight’s game.

Previous reports had mentioned thatย McCluster’s season was likely over after he sustained a knee last weekend.
McCluster, 26, signed a three-year, $9 million contract that included $4.5 million guaranteed with the Titans back in March. He still has base salaries of $2.35 million and $2.275 million coming his way over the next two years.
His 2014 season comes to an end with him catching 40 passes for 131 yards receiving to go along with 26 carries for 197 yards rushing and one touchdown in 14 games.
