According to Adam Schefter, the Chargers have traded CB Desmond King to the Titans.
Tennessee will give a sixth-round pick to the Chargers in exchange for King, per Ian Rapoport.
Los Angeles had been shopping King and it didn’t take long to find a buyer. Tennessee has been lit up through the air and King should help upgrade the Titans secondary.
King is in the final year of his contract and has fallen out of the rotation the past couple of seasons, though he’s played a more significant role this year due to injuries.
King, 25, was drafted in the fifth round out of Iowa by the Chargers in 2017. He’s in the final year of his four-year, $2.68 million rookie contract and is set to make a base salary of $735,000 for the 2020 season.
In 2020, King has appeared in six games for the Chargers and recorded 24 total tackles, one sack, no interceptions and no pass defenses. He also has 17 punt return yards.
We’ll have more on the trade as the news is available.
