Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that the Jets are trading OLB Jordan Willis to the 49ers on Wednesday.
Pelissero adds that the Jets will receive a 2022 sixth-round pick from the 49ers for Williams and a 2021 seventh-round pick.
This is the second trade the Jets have swung in the last four days after they agreed to send DT Steve McLendon to the Buccaneers.
Willis, 25, is a former third-round pick of the Bengals back in 2017. Willis was in the third year of his four-year, $3.61 million contract when the Bengals waived him last September.
Willis was later claimed off of waivers by the Jets.
He’s owed a base salary of $865,250 for the 2020 season and will be an unrestricted free agent next year.
In 2020, Willis has been active for two games and has recorded a fumble recovery.
For his career, Willis has appeared in 43 games for the Bengals and Jets and recorded 52 tackles, three sacks, a fumble recovery and a pass defense.
