According to Mike Garafolo, the Ravens are trading DT Chris Wormley, with Tom Pelissero revealing the Steelers are his destination.
Baltimore will receive a fifth-round pick in 2021 in exchange for Wormley and a seventh-round pick in 2021 going to Pittsburgh, per Pelissero.
Garafolo says Wormley became expendable with the additions of DL Calais Campbell and Michael Brockers.
Jeff Zrebiec points out that trading Wormley saves the Ravens about $2 million.
Wormley, 26, was selected by the Ravens in the third round out of Michigan in 2017. He signed a four-year deal worth $3,298,644, including a signing bonus of $898,644,
In 2019, Wormley appeared in all 16 games for the Ravens and recorded 33 total tackles, 1.5 sacks and two pass defenses. Pro Football Focus rated him as the No. 63 interior defender out of 114 qualifying players.
