The COVID-19 list was created this summer for a player who either tests positive for or who has been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person or persons.
Players will remain on the list until they are medically cleared to return.
Watts, 24, is a former sixth-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft out of Arkansas. He is entering the second year of his four-year, $2.7 million rookie contract.
In 2019, Watts appeared in seven games for the Vikings and recorded 13 total tackles, 1.5 sacks, one forced fumble, and one pass defense.
