Sherels, 31, wound up signing on with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of Minnesota back in 2010. He has played nine years of his NFL career in Minnesota and just finished out a one-year contract with Minnesota.
Sherels later signed on with the Saints, but was released coming out of the preseason this year. The Vikings had re-signed Sherels a few weeks ago.
In 2019, Sherels has appeared in three games for the Vikings and recorded nine kickoff return yards and 33 punt return yards.
