The Washington Football Team announced Friday that they’ve placed WR Steven Sims Jr. (toe) on injured reserve and signed G Joshua Garnett to their active roster.
Washington also signed kicker Kaare Vedvik to their practice squad.
Hereโs Washington’s updated practice squad:
- DT David Bada (International)
- DE Jordan Brailford
- WR Tony Brown
- CB Aaron Colvin
- QB Steven Montez
- LB Donald Payne
- C Ross Pierschbacher
- S Jeremy Reaves
- CB Cole Luke
- OL David Steinmetz
- WR Jeff Badet
- TE Temarrick Hemingway
- LB Jordan Kunaszyk
- DT Devaroe Lawrence
- DB Manny Patterson
- RB Jonathan Williams
- K Kaare Vedvik
It’s worth mentioning that the NFL changed the rules regarding injured reserve for the 2020 season and players can return from the list after just three games.
Garnett, 26, is a former first-round pick by the 49ers in the 2016 NFL Draft. He was entering the second year of a four year $9.304 million rookie contract when the 49ers waived him coming out of the preseason.
Garnett worked his way back from an offseason knee scope last year. The Lions signed Garnett to a futures deal back in February but wound up cutting him loose back in August.
Washington later signed him to their practice squad last month and he’s been on and off of their roster this season.
In 2020, Garnett has been active for two games for Washington.
