It looks like Jeff Garcia has decided to take his talents to Omaha and join the UFL. The news comes from David White of the San Francisco Chronicle. “I was hoping to get back into the NFL this year,” Garcia said. “We had teams that expressed interest, but nobody wanted to fully commit.” (Or, for that matter, partially commit.)
To some this may not be surprising, but Garcia has stepped up several times throughout his career and proven that he can perform in the NFL. If people like Mark Brunell and Rex Grossman can get backup quarterback positions, why not Garcia? Either way, Garcia will probably gets some looks if he performs in the UFL.
