SI.com’s Peter King writes that the Detroit Lions are not going to let Clemson DE Da’Quan Bowers fall past them at No. 13 overall.
“Detroit really likes Da’Quan Bowers, bad knee and all, and could take him at 13,” King writes.
There has been plenty made about Bowers health, more specifically the condition of knee. King adds that one team has removed him from their draft boards because of concerns that he may need microfracture surgery on his knee. Some draft experts suggested that Bowers could fall all the way back in the later part of the first-round but many still believe in his talent.
Detroit would be interesting landing spot for him considering that their defensive line is already a strength for them. Adding Bowers could give them the best d-line in the NFL for years to come.
