The 49ers announced Wednesday they have signed OL Andrew Lauderdale and S Tyree Robinson to the 90-man roster.
This is in addition to the previously reported signing of WR Chris Thompson.
To make room on the roster, San Francisco waived OL Christian DiLauro, RB Brandon Wilds and WR Shawn Poindexter, the latter with an injury designation.
Wilds, 25, wound up signing on with the Falcons as undrafted free agent out of South Carolina back in 2016. He had brief stints with the Jets and Browns before he was waived from injured reserve with a settlement at the start of the 2017 season.
Wilds later signed on to the Jaguars’ practice squad and returned to Jacksonville this past January on a futures contract. The Jaguars waived him coming out of the preseason before re-signing him to their taxi squad.
Jacksonville promoted Wilds a few weeks later only to waive him to make room for Jamaal Charles. He quickly signed on with the Cardinals’ practice squad and re-signed to a futures deal this offseason but was waived in May.
The 49ers signed Wilds to the roster in August.
In 2018, Wilds appeared in three games for the Jaguars and rushed for 15 yards on six carries (2.5 YPC) and no touchdowns.
