Okoye, 25, originally signed on with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent back in 2013. He was considered to be a developmental project, seeing as he was a former rugby and track star.
After a little over two years in San Francisco, Okoye signed on to the Cardinalsโ practice squad last year. He later signed on with the Jets, who elected to make Okoye an offensive lineman upon adding him to their practice squad. However, they waived him this past June.
The Cowboys signed him to a contract this summer but he was later cut loose at the start of the season.
Okoye has yet to appear in an NFL game.
Staten, 25, is a former fifth-round pick of the Seahawks back in the 2014 NFL Draft. He was unable to make the teamโs 53-man roster but was later added to their practice squad. Seattle elected to bring him back on a future/reserve contract only to waive him soon after.
Staten has had brief stints with the Giants, Patriots and Chiefs before he caught on with the Bears a few weeks into the regular season. The Bears promoted him to their active roster in time for Week 11 only to cut him loose soon after.
Staten has yet to appear in an NFL game.
