Futures deals are essentially camp invites that will give players the opportunity to compete for roster spots during offseason workouts and training camp.

Bullough, 25, wound up signing on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Michigan State back in May of 2014. He was on and off of their active roster for his first two years in the NFL before making the 53-man roster last season.

Bullough was set to make aย base salary of $690,000 for the 2017 season until the Texans waived him in June.

Back in May,ย Bullough wasย suspended for the first four games of the 2017 season for violating the performance-enhancingย drugs policy and later received an eight-game banย for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.

In 2016, Bullough appeared in all 16 games for the Texans and recorded 25 tackles and no sacks.
