Cardinals HC Kliff Kingsbury told reporters Thursday OLB Dennis Gardeck would be going on injured reserve, per Josh Weinfuss.
Gardeck left this past week’s game with an injury and will be unavailable for the rest of the season.
The veteran has been a breakout player for Arizona’s defense in 2020, so this is a big hit to the pass rush.
Gardeck, 26, signed with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of Sioux Falls in 2018. He’s made the final roster each of the past three seasons.
In 2020, Gardeck appeared in 14 games for the Cardinals and recorded 14 total tackles, seven sacks and one fumble recovery.
