CB Asante Samuel Will Report To The Start Of Eagles Camp

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Eagles CB Asante Samuel is expected to report to the start of teams’ offseason program today.

These are “voluntary” workouts, so it’s an indication that Samuel is doing his part to impede a potential trade out of Philadelphia. The most recent reports still have him being deal before the end of April, but a trade prior to the draft would make the most sense.

It’s hard to say if there’s enough interest in him to get a deal done, but Samuel appears to be willing to renegotiate his current deal to facilitate a trade.
