Okafor, 30, is a former fourth-round pick of the Cardinals back in 2013. He played out the final year of his rookie contract when he signed a one-year, $3 million contract with the Saints in 2017.
Unfortunately, Okafor suffered a season-ending Achilles tear during the 2017 season. He eventually agreed to re-sign with the Saints on a two-year deal worth up $10 million in 2018.
Okafor signed with the Chiefs in 2019 to a three-year, $24 million deal after declining his player option in New Orleans but had his deal reworked to become a free agent after the 2020 season.
In 2020, Okafor appeared in 11 games for the Chiefs and recorded 16 total tackles, three sacks and one forced fumble. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 94 edge defender out of 108 qualifying players.
