Colts Claim Five Players Off Waivers Including DB Pierre Desir

The Indianapolis Colts officially claimed five players off of waivers on Sunday including DB Pierre Desir, WR Matt Hazel, RB Matt Jones, DB Kenny Moore, and G Ian Silberman.

Desir, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Browns back in 2014. He’s in the third year of his four-year, $2.63 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $600,000 for the 2016 season.

The Browns waived him coming out of the preseason and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Chargers. He was been on and off of the Chargers’ roster during the season before later signing on to the Seahawks’ practice squad.

In 2016, Desir appeared in four games for the Chargers and recorded three tackles, no interceptions and a pass defense.
