According to Ian Rapoport, Cowboys C Travis Frederick is expected to be active for the start of training camp this week.
Frederick avoids the non-football injury list after missing the entire 2018 season with Guillain-Barrรฉ syndrome. The veteran center said earlier this offseason he felt “90 or 95 percent healthy.”
Guillain Barre Syndrome is a rare disorder in which your body’s immune system attacks your nerves. Dallas placed Frederick on injured reserve last October and he missed the entire year.
Frederick, 29, is a former first-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2013. He was entering the fifth year of his eight-year, $66.56 million that included $26.2 million guaranteed.
Frederick stands to make base salaries of $7 million and $6.8 million over the next two years of the agreement.
