According to the Dallas Morning News, former Cowboys and Raiders RB Darren McFadden was arrested early Monday morning on charges of driving while intoxicated and resisting arrest.
McFadden was later released on personal recognizance soon after.
Reports indicated that McFadden fell asleep in the drive-through lane of a Whataburger, but police did not confirm those details, according to the Dallas Morning News.
McFadden announced his retirement from the NFL a few years ago.
McFadden, 31, is a former first-round pick of the Raiders back in 2008. He spent seven years in Oakland before signing on with the Cowboys in 2015.
McFadden returned to the Cowboys on a one-year, $980,000 contract in 2017 but was cut loose during the season.
For his career, McFadden rushed for 5,421 yards on 1,302 carries (4.2 YPC) for the Raiders and Cowboys to go along with 254 receptions for 2,114 yards receiving and 33 total touchdowns over the course of 10 seasons and 103 games played.
