Dez Bryant Misses Practice To Meet With Doctors

Calvin Watkins reports that Cowboys WR Dez Bryant will skip today’s practice to meet with a hand specialist regarding his injured finger.

Yesterday, Bryant made it quite clear that he intends to play through the injury, but there are some obvious long-term concerns for him. There’s a chance that his finger may never regain full range of motion if he chooses to play through the injury. Bryant mentioned that “they’d have to break my leg to keep me out.”

The Cowboys put him in a difficult situation by telling the media that the decision was up to him, which would paint him in an unfavorable light if he were to undergo surgery to repair the torn ligaments in his finger. Either way, we should know more in the coming days.
