Hayes, 22, wound up going undrafted out of Appalachian State back in May. He later signed a three-year, $1.755 million contract with the Jaguars, but was waived coming out of the preseason.
The Jaguars re-signed Hayes to their practice squad before calling him a month later. Jacksonville waived him on Thursday.
In 2019, Hayes appeared in one game for the Jaguars but did not record a tackle.

However, Baltimore waived Willis coming out of the preseason and he later signed on to the Dolphins’ practice squad. Miami cut him loose a few days later and eventually promoted him to the active roster last month.
During his college career at Florida and Miami, Willis recorded 33 tackles, six tackles for a loss, 1.5 sacks, a forced fumble, a recovery and two pass defenses over the course of two seasons and 14 games.
