NFL.com’s Jason La Canfora tweets that the Eagles are letting teams know that they have made CB Asante Samuel available. La Canfora notes that a deal isn’t guaranteed to get done but it remains possible.
This isn’t the first time that the Eagles have made it known that Samuel will be available if someone meets their asking price. Philly usually prices their players pretty high so it’s likely going to take at least a second-round to land Samuel if a team is interested. The Eagles passing defense has been decent in terms of yards per game but they have given up eleven touchdowns but that could have more to do with their linebackers than their corners. We’ll monitor the situation throughout the remainder of the day.
