The Jacksonville Jaguars announced Saturday that they’ve released WRย Bryan Walters and promotedย CB Peyton Thompson to their active roster.
The club has promoted CB Peyton Thompson off the practice squad to the 53-man roster and released WR Bryan Walters.

Walters, 27, signed a two-year, $1.445 million contract that included $25,000 fully guaranteed with the Jaguars back in March. He was set to make a base salary of $660,000 for the 2015 season.
According to OverTheCap.com, releasing Walters will free up $660,000 in available cap space while creating $25,000 in dead money.
In 2014,ย appeared in 13 games and caught six passes for 57 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
