Jaguars Release WR Bryan Walters, Promote CB Peyton Thompson

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced Saturday that they’ve released WR Bryan Walters and promoted CB Peyton Thompson to their active roster.

Walters, 27, signed a two-year, $1.445 million contract that included $25,000 fully guaranteed with the Jaguars back in March. He was set to make a base salary of $660,000 for the 2015 season.

According to, releasing Walters will free up $660,000 in available cap space while creating $25,000 in dead money.

In 2014, appeared in 13 games and caught six passes for 57 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
