Albert Breer of TheMMQB.com reports that the Lions are parting ways with QBs coachย Brian Callahan.
This comes as a bit of surprise, as there should be a decent market for Callahan now that he’s available.
On Sunday,ย Paul Kuharsky mentioned that he has heard new Titans HC Mike Vrabelย likesย Callahan as an offensive coordinator candidate, so this is something to watch in the coming days.
Callahan spent six years with the Broncos as their offensive assistant/quarterbacks coach and was a part of the coaching staff that helped them win Super Bowl 50. The Lions later hired him as their QBs coach in 2016 and he’s helped to continue to develop Matthew Stafford the past few years.
We’ll have more regarding Callahan as the news is available.
