NFL Networks Jason La Canfora reports that sources have indicated that the Atlanta Falcons are set to offer Mike Smith a multi year deal.
La Canfora’s source mentions that the two parties have already negotiated a number of principles included in the deal. An announcement is expected by the end of the week.
It’s hard to argue that Smith isn’t worthy of a contract extension given the mess that he’s been able to turn around in short period of time.
