NFL Notes: Adrian Peterson, Cardinals, Eagles, Panthers, Patriots

Adrian Peterson

  • Theย prosecution’s request to have the judge in Adrian Petersonโ€™s child abuse case removed was denied on Wednesday.ย (Ian Rapoport)
  • Petersonโ€™s trial is “tentatively” set forย December 1. (Ian Rapoport)

Cardinals

  • Cardinalsย GM Steve Keimย mentioned during a radio appearance withย  Arizona Sports 98.7 that there are “several” other players with expiring contracts who are candidates for extensions. (Kent Somers)

Eagles

Geoff Mosher of CSN Philly writes that first-round pick OLBย Marcus Smith‘s future with the team “remains cloudy.

Eagles DC Bill Davis mentioned that Smithย could continue to rotate between inside and outside linebacker in the comingย weeks depending on the teamโ€™s depth. However, ifย Mychal Kendricks returns for Week 8, there is a decent chance that Smith will be inactive.

Panthers

  • The attorney for Panthers DE Greg Hardy said that he expects his client’s trial to begin on November 17.ย (Joe Person)

Patriots

  • Tom Curran of CSNNE.com reports that CBย Darrelle Revis was sent home on Tuesday after he showedย up late for the start practice.
  • Revis did, however, return for Wednesday’s practice, so it doesn’t appearย to be anything major.
