NFL Notes: Bears, Cardinals, Cowboys, Dolphins, Giants, Ravens

Bears

• HC Marc Trestman mentioned that he would like to get WR Brandon Marshall more involved in the team’s offense moving forward after he saw just five targets this past weekend. (Jeff Dickerson)

Cardinals

• HC Bruce Arians told reporters on Monday that QB Carson Palmer (shoulder) has to go through an entire practice in order play in Week 6’s game. (Kent Somers)
• Arians also announced that DE Calais Campbell has an MCL strain and is likely to miss 1-3 weeks. (Josh Weinfuss)

Cowboys

• The Cowboys waived LB Keith Smith and activated S Jakar Hamilton from exempt/commissioner permission list Monday. (Brandon George)

Dolphins

• C Mike Pouncey (hip) is expected to make his 2014 debut at either guard or center against the Packers. (Armando Salguero)

Giants

• The Giants will start rookie Andre Williams at running back with Rashad Jennings dealing with a knee injury. (Jordan Raanan)
• Veteran RB Peyton Hillis is likely to be worked in the mix as well. (Jordan Raanan)

Ravens

• CB Asa Jackson has a severely sprained toe and is expected to out for a number of weeks. He could be placed on short-term injured reserve. (Aaron Wilson)
