- QB Aaron Rodgers is not expected to practice until Thursday of next week.
โAaron is doing well. Heโs been in treatment during the practice period,โ McCarthy said on Friday, via Weston Hodkiewicz of the Green Bay Press-Gazette. โWeโll do the same tomorrow. I really donโt see him getting on the practice field until Thursday at the earliest.โ
Ravens
- The Ravens have ruled out LT Eugene Monroe (ankle) for the Wildcard game.
Redskins
- ESPNโs John Clayton reports that the Redskins are expected to give former Chargers GM A.J. Smith an โenhanced positionโ in the teamโs front office.
- According to Clayton, Smith is expected to relocate to Washington, D.C., and take on more responsibilities when it comes to football decisions.
- Bruce Allen will remain the teamโs president and general manager.
Saints
Ian Rapoport reports that the Saints are parting ways with WRs coach Henry Ellard and TEs coach Terry Malone.
- Rapoport adds that the Saints also fired DBs coach Andre Curtis.
According to Rapoport, the โbig questionโ is still whether or not DC Rob Ryan will be back next year. Saints HC Sean Payton could decide to give Ryan โmore suitable partsโ to work with in 2015.
Rapoport wouldnโt be surprised if Ryan stay for another season.
