Arizona Republic’s Kent Somers writes that he Joey Porter‘s return to Arizona for the 2011 is “doubtful.”
Porter accumulated five sacks for the Cardinals in 2011 but his production really fell off in the second half of the season. When consider that he is set to make $5.75 million next year and pair that with the fact that he’s 34 years old, it makes plenty of sense that Arizona would be willing to part ways with Porter. The Cardinals have O’Brien Schofield whom they drafted last season at linebacker but they will need more depth at the position if their defense is going to be productive for them.
